Michael Joseph Jackson (29. august 1958 – 25. juni 2009) med tilnavnet "Kongen af Pop" var en amerikansk musiker og en af de mest kommercielt succesrige entertainere. Hans unikke bidrag til musik og dans og hans privatliv, gjorde ham til en fremtrædende figur inden for populærkulturen i fire årtier. Han er to gange optaget i Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, har flere rekorder i Guinness Rekordbog — deriblandt "Mest succesrige entertainer nogensinde" — 13 Grammy Awards, 13 singler som har ligget nr. 1 på hitlisten i USA, og et anslået samlet salgstal på over 750 millioner plader. Han var en betydelig filantropisk og humanitær sponsor af mange millioner dollars til 39 velgørenhedsorganisationer og skaffede også bidrag via sin egen Heal the World Foundation.
